Assistant Professor Jennifer Singh specializes in medical sociology and science and technology studies. She is interested in the intersections of genetics, health and society and draws on her experiences of working in the biotechnology industry as a molecular biologist and as a public health researcher at the Center for Disease Control and Prevention. Her research investigates the social and scientific understandings of diseases based on emerging medical technologies. She currently focuses on the implications of genomic technologies on the etiology, diagnosis, and treatment of autism spectrum disorders.
